Update: Training for Paralympic Games

paralympic rowing update

Big Win For Rob And Oksana!

Racing at the 2012 Paralympic Trials on Mercer Lake is complete following Friday’s finals and a big win! Rob and Oksana rowed in the trunk-and-arms mixed double scull and completed that first step toward making the team that will represent the United States at the Paralympic Games in London. I enjoyed watching them race on this crisp, sunny morning on this beautiful lake. The next step is to race in the World Championship Regatta May 4-6 in Belgrade, Serbia. They must place top two among non-qualified countries (6 countries qualified last summer) to earn a spot for the USA in the London Paralympic Games (early September).

Now, its time to take a few days off before returning to Florida again to resume training.

Thank you friends for donations, thoughts and prayers helping the athletes reach their goal.
