Tina’s Training

By your side
on your fitness journey.
I am proud to say that I have an impressive list of accomplishments, including being a personal trainer at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, co-owner at Kai Fitness for Golf, a doTerra leader, and the co-owner of Nona Adventure Park.
I have been an athlete all my life and competed in gymnastics for 10 years growing up in Germany. I also was an avid waterskier and wakeboarder in my early years in the US, ran marathons, competed in tri-athlons for many years and more recently competed as an Olympic weightlifter internationally for 3 years. I won Gold in the 2018 World Championship in Olympic Weightlifting in Barcelona, Spain representing the USA.
My training involves functional exercises, utilizing the whole body without isolating any body part. Therefore very little “machines” are used. The exercises are performed with dumbbells, barbells, cable crossovers, medicine balls, gym balls and calisthenics. I then add in some aspects of yoga, pilates, resist-a ball and TRX. HIIT, or tabata style cardio training. I incorporate the Kai Fitness for Golf program for golf clients looking to improve their game. My training will give you the results you’ve been dreaming about.
I got certified as a Viniyoga inspired yoga instructor in 2003 and have been teaching at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club and my own private classes. I have developed my own style of teaching over the years and participants always comment on my soothing voice. I focus on the breath, in fact each movement is lead by the breath. Yoga is a tool to build firm muscles, speed up your circulation, and strengthen your heart and facilitate balance. More recently I began incorporating oils into yoga for an amazing yoga aromatherapy experience..
I teach for the CrossFit community and hold a CrossFit Level 1 certification as well as Crossfit Mobility. I believe yoga will help CrossFitters became more flexible and increase range of motion. Practicing basic yoga poses will help with hip and shoulder flexibility to better squats, kipping movements and hand stands. Yoga will also help with focus and breathing efficiently through the WOD’s. A regular yoga practice will also help improve balance, strengthen the core and help find that braced neutral spine. Most importantly CrossFit is all about community and so is yoga. Through yoga and Crossfit, We will be able to connect deeper to ourselves, our bodies, breath, and the present moment. That is when we ultimately will connect more deeply to one another.
