Getting Back on Track…

Not an easy task after a month away from home, a ton of comfort food and a lack of fitness in my life.

WOW,  this is coming from a nutrition coach and personal trainer?

Yes, and it seems to happens to the best of us. I spent a month in Germany taking care of my dad. He sadly passed away 2 weeks ago and he’ll be greatly missed.

I’m sure many of you have experienced that same emotional roller coaster and the inability to move and the urge to eat! You might find some of my insight helpful for your own life. I saw this quote from Jim Rhon  this morning and it inspired me to get going again in my quest for healthy living.

“It’s a new day, a new beginning for your new life. With discipline you will be amazed at how much progress you’ll be able to make. What have you got to lose except the guilt and fear of the past?” — Jim Rohn

I used to teach a cycling class on Monday mornings and it got me going for the week. I’m taking a break from teaching at the moment but I miss the routine it provided having to sit on the bike ready to roll at a certain time. Without that time commitment I can easily postpone that workout or skip it altogether…but Jim’s reminder of being disciplined got me going into the garage, pumping some much needed air into my mountain bike and circling the neighborhood in the early morning. I keep reminding myself that time will heal all wounds and little steps into the right direction will get me back on track.
